An industry leader in all of the key markets that we serve, our Sustainable Development and Energy groups are recognised as market leaders in the field of low carbon energy. AECOM are members of the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) and we participate in the Ministerial Industry Contact Group for Decentralised Energy within the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (DBEIS), for whom we are now working as the delivery partner for the Heat Network Investment Programme. AECOM also sit on the steering group for the CIBSE/ADE District Heating Code of Practice, which it helped author.
Over the last decade, the AECOM Energy group has delivered heat network projects for over 40 major schemes and have been involved in designing over 25 heat networks that are in use today. The AECOM Energy group are able to provide a comprehensive understanding of heat network design as well as procurement, techno-economic modelling, HNDU and HNIP process alignment, design, planning and the construction stage. Having built a strong presence in the decentralised energy sector in the UK, the team has worked with varied clients such as county councils, borough councils and district councils. We have also worked with universities, housing associations, property developers, industrial clients and ESCos. This range of clients has given the team an invaluable understanding of the demands of complex decentralised organisations and how to bring these needs together to create an optimal integrated system that meets the individual and collective desires of the client body. We will look to bring much the same approach to the BDC on this project, tailoring our methodology to suit your specific needs and deliver the flexibility the members are seeking.
We can offer you a partnership of skills and knowledge, led and delivered by highly experienced industry professionals and exclusive tools to help deliver this project. This includes our in-house Techno-Economic Model (TEM), which will provide the information needed to understand the financial, carbon and energy performance of the proposed network.
